It's All About Love

It's all about love! I've been reminded about that over and over again. That's brings to mind an old chorus we used to sing in church...I keep falling in love with Him, over and over and over and over again. I keep falling in love with Him over and over and over and over again. He gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by, oh what a love between my Lord and I, I keep falling in love with Him over and over and over and over again.
Matthew, 22:37-40 ~ Jesus replied, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment, and the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.
Hmmm... all your heart, all your soul, all your mind. Do we really love God like that?
The second one is even harder in my opinion...love your neighbor as yourself. Ouch!

Now for even more of a challenge... read 1 John verses 7-21. Wow! I share verses 7 & 8 here to get you started... Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God, and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Finally, here's a little reminder of what love is: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails... And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

I'm really working on loving people and all these verses help. Hopefully, they will help you too. I think there are very few people who really love like this.

Having no worship practice tonight was a little weird. It did give me chance to spend some time here which is good. This is really what I wanted the blog to be, I just never have the time to do this.
Looking forward to the outdoor service tomorrow. Enjoy the day, and being in the congregation instead of up front.

Be Blessed,
Matt

  1. Thanks for the encouraging reminder Matt. Since the conference, God has been convicting me when something I do or think is wrong. He has been working and I am noticing the difference in my thought life most. It was wierd not having practice last night......I missed everyone dearly! Thanks for sharing Matt!
